Annecy

Annecy is classified a City of Art and History and referees several monuments and cultural places with a high quality. The most appreciated parks and grassy areas are undoubtedly the ones close to the lake. The Pâquier stroll is a vast landscape of seven and a half acres located on the shores of the lake, and offers one of the best views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The town of Annecy has several monuments like the medieval castle of Annecy, the palace of the island or the door Saint Clair, on the direction of Chambéry, which remains the battlements that protected the entrance to the city. The old city is crossed by several channels and the pedestrian streets with arcades, the street Saint. Clair is one of the most beautiful ones with its romantic arches of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

Praque

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is the most valuable historical city reserve. In 1992 the historical core of the city covering 866 hectares was listed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register.
Prague represents a unique collection of historical monuments dominated by the Prague Castle which towers high above the city. It is a display of all artistic styles and movements. The historical core of the city is situated on both banks of the Vltava river and consists of 6 parts - formerly independent urban units unified in the 18th century. They are as follows: Stare Mesto (Old Town), Josefov (the preserved part of the former Jewish Town - today a part of the Old Town), Nove Mesto (New Town), Mala Strana (Lesser Town), Hradcany and Vysehrad.

Nizbor glassworks

Nizbor glassworks (actually RÜCKL CRISTAL a.s.) a Bohemian glass factory situated in the village called Nizbor, about 7 km west from the city of Beroun, Czech Republic. The glass factory produces 24% lead crystal. Major part of its production is focused on export. Some production stays on the market in the Czech Republic.

The company was founded in 1903 by Antonín Rückl, a member of a glass-maker family. In 1945, after the World War II, the company was nationalised and in 1965 it was included in the holding called Bohemian Glassworks. After the Velvet revolution Antonín Rückl, great-grandson of Jirí Rückl, retrieved the company back to the hands of Rückl family. Nowadays Nizbor glassworks produce Czech crystal known formerly as Bohemian crystal, such as other small glassworks spread all around the country. Part of the factory is open to visitors, where the guides describe the process of crystal making. The company also produces the glass prize for Czech Lion awards.

The Sachsenhausen concentration camp was built in July 1936, by teams of prisoners transferred there from small camps in the Ems area and elsewhere. It was located near the administrative center for all of the concentration camps in Oranienburg, and became a central training facility for SS officers. On the front entrance gates to Sachsenhausen is the infamous slogan Arbeit Macht Frei

Mont St.Michel

Mont St. Michael

Le Mont-Saint-Michel, rocky, cone-shaped islet in northwestern France, in the Gulf of Saint-Malo, connected by a causeway with the mainland. The islet, celebrated for its Benedictine abbey, has small houses and shops on its lowest level. Above these stand the monastic buildings, many of which date from the 13th century and are considered outstanding examples of Gothic architecture. The entire islet is crowned by the abbey church, about 73 m (about 240 ft) above sea level
